Just left a post about the disaster PowerDesk File manager for Win10
was.

Any one got any recommendations for a good, non-buggy file manager
that works in Win10 and does Dual panes? I really miss the dual panes
the original good powerdesk had years ago.

You might give Double Commander a try:

http://doublecmd.sourceforge.net/

This is a cross-platform program that runs on Windows, Linux, Mac OS-X,
and FreeBSD.

Check out Total Commander. Currently using it for its dual panel
display; also it works with usb connection to a tablet/phone that has
"mtp" mode. Total Commander also has a free version for the android
tablets & has a lan plugin for connection to a PC & is dual pane
configurable for use in landscape or portrait if one has excellent
eyesight.

FileViewer also is a dual panel manager but it won't do MTP & email
from the author say it won't be done; so I "switched" but still use
Fileviewer on occasion.

Have been using TC for the past sixteen years. Started using it when
it was known as Windows Commander. I think it was excellent value for
money. The cost was about $30 and all updates and upgrades have been
free.

I have used Directory Opus for years. Expensive. A few years between
version upgrades.

I like Explorer++ https://explorerplusplus.com/
It works well with Win10, but I can't say if it does dual panes or not. It
is free :-)

There's also xplorer² http://zabkat.com/
I haven't tried it, but it does say it supports dual panes. It's $30.

XYplorer (not free) worked on the upgrade.

I highly recommend Q-Dir; you can have up to four panes. It's free.

My absolute favorite is XYplorer:
http://www.xyplorer.com/

Best program ever written in VisualBasic. Very fast
and a wonderful interface.
