Works a little differently than the MS version....but better.

FYI: left click moves cards (like a hint)

Also: you can only undo one time per try.

Not Sure if it works still, but
http://www.eightforums.com/gaming/57...-versions.html
down a few threads there was a solution. I know somehow I have all the
old win7 games ported to win10. Actually I ported them to 8 and that
made them also work for 10.

I had them all working fine in Win8.1 (the ones I play anyhow; I didn't
bother Purble Place, LOL), but then had to do the whole process over again
after upgrading to Win10. But then, after a major(?) OS update, they no
longer worked, and I redid it again :-(
I made a copy of my MS Games folder and saved it elsewhere. Then, on the
next major that killed the games again, I just copied the folder back and
all is well :-) Even the old shortcuts worked without having to redo them.

I like to play the solitaire that came with Win7. I've always wondered
why when I click for hint, and it makes the deck 'glow', that there is
hardly ever a card in the deck to be played. I can go thru the deck
three or more times, and then the system finally tells me there are no
more moves, and asks do I want to quit.

If I click for a hint, and it shows me some place other than the deck,
it's always right.

On Android tablets (ported from Apple), there is a version of the most
popular (Klondike) Solitaire called "Solitaire+" by "Brainium". Fits an
8 inch tablet perfectly in portrait mode. The user interface is the
greatest, a single tap for everything, and the results are perfectly
logical (with one possibly incorrect assumption that's easy to correct).
Plain and simple visuals but looks great. I paid one dollar for it but
apparently it's free now even without advertising. They shouldn't
require three taps to start a new game, but that's nothing considering
the zillion taps saved by the automated interface. Playing the old
Windows solitaire would be a drag now. It doesn't even flip over the
next card when the top card is played?

You might want to get the Android Solitaire game by MobilityWare. It's
a great time waster. ;-)

Yeah, especially if he's trying to install it on his Win10 machine ;-)
