Default Freeware to blur out and soften facial lines and blemishes

Offline facial wrinkles and blemish cleanup freeware.
Nothing fancy. Just something that is designed for this, and works.

I used to use Vicman's Photo Editor (as I recall) to just blur out smoothly
facial lines and blemishes. It was so easy. You just walk along a wrinkle
and it smoothed it out (after you get the settings right for each photo).

Now when I go to the vicman site, they push me to an online tool
(http://makeup.pho.to) where at the old viman site, all I can get is Vicman
cartoonist despite the indication that the photo editor still exists.
http://www.vicman.net/vcwphoto/
http://www.vicman.net/vcwphoto/photo_f.htm

Any idea where to get the "real" vicman (offline) photo editor freeware
that will clean up facial features?

I generally don't trust the non-official sites such as these
https://vcw-vicman-photo-editor.en.softonic.com
http://www.softpedia.com/get/Multime...o-Editor.shtml
http://www.tucows.com/preview/194908...q=photo+editor

If not vicman (which used to be the absolute best freeware for simplicity
and results on facial wrinkles and blemishes), what else in terms of
Windows freeware will easily manually clean up facial blemishes and
wrinkles offline nowadays?

Well, I've never used it for that sort of thing, but I use IrfanView for
everything image-related: for fixing scans of old photographs, I find
its clone brush good. (I can't remember what IrfanView calls it - clone
brush is what Paint Shop Pro called it.)

PSP also has Airbrush, which is like a spray can.
Width and opactiy can be adjusted, making it perfect
for blending in unwanted details. I expect any decent
graphic editor has such tools, as well as multi-level
undo.

I have downloaded from the Softonic portal without any problem. It's
based in Spain, but has been around since 1997.

Just a word of advise, Softonic is a known malware vector. I suggest a
system check with Malwarebytes, or similar.

Just don’t download Malwarebytes from Softonic, or use the Softonic
installer.
https://www.malwarebytes.com/premium/

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Softonic.com
"In recent years Softonic has gotten under fire from various online
communities for the alleged turnaround of free and copyrighted software made
by third parties, embedding the software with malware, adware, and viruses.

Despite public outcry Softonic continuously increases their repository of
free software, and have created a custom installer for delivering the
targeted software along with various other optional programs, however despite
the ease of use, many online creators warns users against using Softonic, as
a downloading agent, and recommends downloading the software from the
creators own website."

As an aside, do you use Malwarebytes on your Apple Mac?

I have used it on one occasion when bbc.co.uk (naughty VPN relocation
viewing) somehow installed some odd adware which initiated opening
unrequested browser windows to add sites, and I could not stop the behaviour,
and that was on this Mac.
I ran Malwarebytes downloaded from
https://www.malwarebytes.com/products/
and that cleaned up, and cleared up the issue.

I use PhotoWipe for this. Old but easy, free, and works well.

Thank you for the PhotoWipe suggestion!
This was the best software suggested that I tested so far!

PhotoWipe seems to work similarly to how VicMan photo editor worked in that
you drag an area over the blemish or wrinkle. Then the software removes the
blemish or wrinkle by an algorithm that makes it look as if the blemish or
wrinkle was just smooth skin.

But it's a lot harder to use than Vicman PhotoEditor was for blemish
removal.

In fact I first tried using the software on Bo Derek without reading the
instructions but then I realized the instructions are pretty good.
http://www.hanovsolutions.com/?prod=PhotoWipe#samples

PhotoWipe uses a modified version of the greycstoration image processing
library, which was created by David Tschumperlé and source code is
available here. http://www.hanovsolutions.com/inpainter.zip

Best to start with a well-cropped photo because the zoom is horrid.

My quick summary is that this PhotoWipe freeware is clumsy to get used to,
but it does work about as well as Vicman PhotoEditor did to remove wrinkles
& blemishes!

Here are my first test results.
