Default Windows POS Photos app..

What a POS. Like a bunch of other Windows "apps".

Who is writing this **** for MS, the mentally deficient?

Or some deranged dweebs who are forcing us to do it "their way"?

I'm tempted to go to Linux.

Do it. You can run it from a DVD or USB stick, or install it, and you
will have to option of booting Windows or Linux Mint to compare them.

I reverted back from windows-10 to windows-7 and only use that to run
Macrium. I'm not familiar with the app you mention, but in all fairness
to windows, there are any number of free apps for photos.
Linux does of course have some native apps for photos, but I'm not sure
how they compare.
I'm happy with a thing called Pix and Gimp. I liked Elements 11 better,
but contrary to what people in this group will tell you, there is no
magic OS of App that will satisfy everyone, just pick something you like
and get to know it well.

Go and stop crying here because there is nothing we can do when a user
like you hasn't got a sufficiently well functioning brain.

Linux is he alt.os.linux

With over 500 million devices now running Windows 10, customer
satisfaction is higher than any previous version of windows.

I did about 2 years ago after playing with 10 for a while. I dual boot
and then tried to see how many things I could do in linux that I did in
Windows. Thunderbird and Chrome / Firefox made that part of life easy
to move. I've run *nix systems since the 70's so I was a bit more
versed in it, but nothing I used (commercial) matched with today's Linux
Mint's. I prefer cinnamon as it looks a bit more like Windows.
Took me about 3 months to get comfortable and now after 2 years I'm
doing more with Linux than I could with WIndows.

But YMMV. I don't play high end games, just solitaire etc.
