default user

I created a new user in xp pro as administrator and rebooted with both users logged on. Is there any way to get back to original user's info?

It sounds as if you were previously using the built-in
Administrator account. Once you create another account that is
a member of the administrators group, the built-in account
becomes hidden.

How you access the Administrator account depends on how you've
configured XP to logon and logoff users. If when you
logon/logoff the Welcome Screen is displayed you'll need to hit
Ctrl + Alt + Del twice to bring up the Logon to Windows dialog
box. Once that dialog box appears you can enter Administrator
in the User Name box along with the password, if any, that
you've assigned to that account. Logoff from your new account
and see if you can logon with the Administrator account.

You can add the Administrator account to the Welcome Screen
following the procedures outlined he

Keep in mind that the Administrator account should be reserved
for emergency use only.

You will have to use a third account which is a computer
administrator in order to copy the files. Create another admin
account that can be deleted once the procedure is completed.
