Default windows boot problem

Running xp home, and used my original disc to run a repair install trying to
fix a contstant cycling reboot problem. Before repair install could not even
boot to safe mode. Now the problem is when booting to regular mode it boots
to a blank blue screen with nothing there. I can however boot successfully
to safe mode. Any ideas and/or solutions? Thanks
