Default Service Packs

I'm not 100% on this but I think I'm rigth: sec update
811493 is "the one" that causes XP to be slow & M-soft
have done a new one.
Try to uninstall the update 811493 (Controlpanel/Add-
Remove pgms) & then accept a new update via Windows
Update.
I did it like this & it's (nearly) Ok now. At least I
don't get a new update for 811493 every time I use W-s
Update.

-----Original Message-----
Service Pack 1 installs to point of "changing product
key", and shortly thereafter terminates with "Service
Pack setup error - setup cancelled". Have rebooted and
retried, with same result.

Also, Security update 811493 has been installed, but
constantly appears as an option "new updates are ready to
download" as well as appearing on MS list of available
enhancements.
