Default Beta SP2 and slipstreamed disk

I slipstreamed the above and when I goto setup with a fresh install, I see
at the beginning it says, "180 day SP2 License agreement" and then all the
legal stuff. Does this mean that the Beta SP2 will cease to function after
this, self un-install or what? Or is it just a nag screen and not to worry
about?

TIA,

Doug

I'm not sure of the answer to your question, but since the "real" final
version is out, why are you still fooling with the beta version?

Hi

You'll need an 'original' XP CD to slipstream with SP2.

I HAVE the real CD and HAVE already slipstreamed the disk, I thought I had
the real SP2 but upon installation, I get the message I outlined below and
didn't know if that was the real thing, or an expired beta.

Thanx for your time regardless

Doug

Thanx Berry,

I thought I had the real things when I slipstreamed the disk, but
apparently not according to the license thingy. I'll possibly have to re-do
the disk again and find the real final, apparently. Would you have a
download link for it?

Thanx for taking the time,

Doug

Yes, the download of the real, final SP2 has been available at this link
now for almost 2 weeks:

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en

You can get that message left if you install the rtm version over
certain of the beta ones; an oversight left the message from that beta
around. Check by running Winver. If that has . .
..xpsp_sp2_rtm.040803-2158 you have the final installed (2158 is a time
not a build number BTW)
