811493....other?

Hi guys
I understand that once I've installed XP, I should go to
the Window update site and download all the critical
patches. I read from the newsboard that 811493 is a big
No-No. Are there any other biggie that I should stear clear
of at the moment. I don't want to update everything and
then find some thats a bit suspect.
