Default Lost icons in bottom of screen

Hi, I hope you can help me! I have lost the wireless icons that used to
appear in the bottom right of the screen, next to the clock! I had some
malware that I have now got rid of but no matter how much I search around to
try and restore them they have gone missing. Also, on the start menu I used
to have a 'connect to' option that would let me choose what wireless to
connect to. This has also disappeared! Please help!

Is your Wi-Fi card still listed under Device Manager? (Rational place to
start as any I suppose...)

WinKey + Pause Break (you may need to hit the F Lock key on some keyboards
first)
Hardware tab
Device Manager button
Look under Network Adapters

It MAY be that you've killed your WinSock? If so then take a peek he

Just to be sure - under your network settings for that device - do you have
it set to show the device if it's connected AND to notify you when it has
limited or no connectivity?
