Default Licence tethered to your motherboard after you upgrade to windows10

I read this in one of the forums.

It has been my experience now with 4 upgrades

You can do clean install after the upgrade and no key will be required.
Windows 10 will be automatically activated.

===========================

Once you upgrade to Windows 10 from Windows 7/8.1, your licence is
tether with your motherboard. Even if you refresh the whole PC you
should be able to activate your licence again. In case you change your
motherboard but keep all other parts, you will have trouble activating
but I heard if you call Microsoft support they'll resolve it for you.
