Formatting is NOT recommended. Have each one of your kids log on and start deleting their programs by using their own passwords. Then go to: Start/Control Panel/User Accounts/delete all the accounts except your Administrator account.
Now create new accounts for your kids and have them give you their passwords OR you will NOT allow them on the PC - PERIOD!!!
Also recommend a complete disk cleanup. Especially the cookies, on and offline internet files, History and run a good Spy program such as Spybot which is free at: http://www.pcworld.com/downloads/
Defrag your harddrive
Run RegClean (also free at above website)
