XP is probably the least secure. But don't think
that by using Vista or Windows 7 you can skip the need for a very good third party AV software suite. -- JS http://www.pagestart.com "dukedogcomputer101" wrote in message ... I heard that XP is really bad for security issues. How does it compare to windows vista and 7 |

Windows 7 has Microsoft Security Essentials which is an antivirus and
security applet with high ratings. You can download that to any PC. "nihovela" wrote in message ... dukedogcomputer101;3342279 Wrote: I heard that XP is really bad for security issues. Microsoft Security Essential is an antivirus/antimalware program but it is *not* part of Windows 7. Windows Defender, which is strictly an antimalware program and *not* an antivirus, is part of Windows 7 just like it is part of Windows Vista. A Windows 7 machine needs an antivirus installed, just like all other Microsoft operating systems. Malke -- MS-MVP Elephant Boy Computers - Don't Panic! http://www.elephantboycomputers.com/#FAQ |
