I have a Windows XP desktop with a HP720C locally
attached. It is attached to a home network through a
LINCSYS Wireless router. Two Laptops (both W2000) and
another desktop (Win98) are attached to the network. The
laptops are both wireless and both desktops are hard-wired
to the router.

I have been trying unsucessfully to share the printer with
the other computers on the network. I have followed all
the instructions that I can find on the web and read every
manual I can find. Does anyone have any insight?

Wireless can be a little more daunting. See Ron Pacchiano's article at
