ALL PRINTER DRIVERS STOPPED WORKING?!?
All of my printer drivers have suddenly stopped working
and I have no idea why. I have tried the following to no avail: 1. Uninstalling and reinstalling all printers. 2. Checking to be sure cables are connected and that power is on. 3. Using system restore to go back to a time when the printers were still working. I should note that I am using Windows XP Home Edition. I should also note that this problem affects both the HP printer connected via USB port as well as the Scansoft Paperport and Adobe Distiller print drivers. |

Sounds like your print spooler has stopped.
From the command prompt, type net start spooler (and remember to hit enter) Cari www.coribright.com "Michael Beecher" wrote in message ... ALL PRINTER DRIVERS STOPPED WORKING?!?
Cari, thanks for the reply. You're definitely on the
right track with your answer because I discovered I could get the printer to work by selecting "Print directly to printer" and deselecting the spooler. However, your suggested solution to restart the spooler didn't fix the lack of printing when the spooler option is selected. Any other suggestions? -----Original Message----- Sounds like your print spooler has stopped.
