Default spoolsv memory leak...

i am running windows xp home edition with SP1 and seem to
have a memory leak with spoolsv.exe. The printer
connected via usb is HP Inkjet 1100. Spoolsv continues
to eat up my memory until other programs start locking up
because of lack of resources. The problem is immediately
solved once i close the spoolsv.exe process but only to
have spoolsv start eating up my memory once again. I
NEED HELP!
