Default i couldn't get the desktop

hiii
i've loaded windows XP sp2 on my computer's C drive.but due to virus
attack or some other reason i could not get the desktop icons and tool
bar too.i've some important data in administrator's documents.i want
to recover that data.
so i've loaded windows XP sp2 on F drive to copy the administrator's
documents in C.but it displays the message "access denied".
so how can i fix the problem?
plzzzzzzzzz tell me.........

It's called "taking ownership". How you do this depends on whether it's XP
Home or Pro.

Google "take ownership XP".

If you have important data in the Admin structure, that probably means that
you have XP Pro *and* that you were using the Admin account as a regular
user account.

This is bad practice; that account should be reserved for system maintenance
only. Create a user account for yourself and leave the Administrator
account alone unless you really need it.
