Windows explorer search
I have one file in my documents named exactly "garden 2003" yet a search for GARDEN lists it 3 times in exactly the same location, size, and date/time as well as showing the other 5 GARDEN files three times each This duplicate listing happens on every search I run on any file. How may I get it to list each found file only once? I asked this long ago but never resolved it. Sorry for repeat. XP SP3 Thanks Mel |

Research online tells me that duplicate file remover will remove the ONLY existing file and all three search results. |

He said it's the same file it's just showing multiple times. |

Do you mean click start---search---all files and folders?
Did you compress (move to left) the found files to verify they are identical? "shakey" wrote in message ... The search function of windows explorer. "Unknown" wrote in message ... Thank you for your help Unknown but now this is getting weirder. For at
least 6 months a search for a UNIQUE file in my documents would find it three times, all identical Search was always initiated from Windows explorer search tab. This time I did it your way from start/search which should be the same and it found only one file and now windows explorer/search only finds one also. MS you blow my mind.
