Computer slowed to a crawl
sometimes there are simply too many
processes running in memory. and if one of the processes is in the middle of accessing a webpage or checking for updates, then the webpage you are actually trying to review/access will be inhibited by the other processes that are currently running and are not completed. in order to test the theory above and anayze your computer issue, initiate the following steps for a clean boot: click on startrunmsconfig under the startup tab disable / uncheck the items that are checked. you may want to jot them down on paper as well. next go to the services tab and "hide" all microsoft services. uncheck and jot down what remains on the list. then reboot and see if you have over come that computer problem. -- db·´¯`·...¸)))º DatabaseBen, Retired Professional - Systems Analyst - Database Developer - Accountancy - Veteran of the Armed Forces - @Hotmail.com "share the nirvana mann" - dbZen ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "calncowboy" wrote in message ...
