ATAPI errors Trouble With My CDRW/DVD Drive
I have suddenly developed a problem with my Samsung CDRW /DVD 352N Combo
Drive. The problem initially started by my drive not being able to read Mixed Content Data DVD's. (I could play CD's etc). Now I can't even access my drive and when I try to reinstall the drive after uninstalling it from the system manager on reboot the machine Instead of identitfying it as a Samsung CDR / DVD 352 N the computer is identifying a SAMQULG CDRU/ DVD QM 352L In the event viewer I get constant ATAPI errors , Event ID 9 under system ( This error message is the most regular one I get in my event viewer) however earlier the initial symptoms and warnings and error messages that I see in my event viewer for this particular problem are listed below) Can someone help me solving this problem. would be appreciated. of Event Type: Error Event Source: atapi Event Category: None Event ID: 9 Date: 6/2/2009 Time: 11:03:27 PM User: N/A Computer: HOME Description: The device, \Device\Ide\IdePort2, did not respond within the timeout period.
