Default Program is not responding

Anyway to turn off Windows 10 program is not responding widget?

Program is not responding
+++++ Close the program
+++++ Wait for the program to respond

Neither choice ever does anything useful that control+alt+del doesn't do.
And it probably talks to Microsoft which is a second strike against it.

Do you know how to turn all of that garbage off?

Use a hammer & anvil, and a little urine never hurt.

I pasted this into the wrong message earlier today.
Here's a way to fix it in the sense of increasing
the time until it complains. Use a number higher
than 5000 (which is 5 seconds).

https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/...7-3ed7d231ef81

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\

HungAppTimeout REG_SZ 5000 (milliseconds, default)

Set it to a higher value in milliseconds.

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/pre...4(v=technet.10)

If you do that, the program window could be frozen,
and attempts to click or move it, should do nothing.
