Default Saving An Online File

On my Win XP Pro desktop, when I go to download an application or file from
a website, I click on Save, it saves it to the desktop. How can I get the option
back to save it to the folder of my choice?

Thanks!
Scott

does it save without giving any optionssuch as 3 buttons 'open' 'save' and
'cancel'
if you dont get those options you could try right clicking and 'save target
as'
if you have a box with the 3 options you should click save, then another box
will open from which you browse to the folder you wish to save in. If you
just click save then the file will be saved to wherever is in the
destination 'save in' box

Right-click, or Shift/right-click the link to the file and you might get
a Save-As option. Then you can browse to the preferred folder.

Yes, I get 3 options...open, save, and cancel. What I used to do is hit Save,
and a box would open up to to give me a choice where to save it. Now when I hit
Save, it always saves it to the Desktop by default. I think some setting must
have changed.
