Default Replace operating system on a dual boot system?

How do I replace the operating system on drive C: on a dual boot system? Is
it as simple as installing the os and then changing the boot.ini to point to
the existing os on the second partition?

TIA

David Rose

You'll have to be more specific. What OS? What is already installed where?
