SFC and SP2
Hi Joe,
No, you don't have to reinstall the service pack. The system is smart enough to know which files were updated and should be replaced with the same. -- Best of Luck, Rick Rogers, aka "Nutcase" - Microsoft MVP http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/ Associate Expert - WindowsXP Expert Zone www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/expertzone Windows help - www.rickrogers.org "Joe" wrote in message ... SFC and SP2
Joe;
No, SP-2 will not need to be reinstalled. That is the purpose of "C:\Windows\ServicePackFiles" SFC will also look there. Some delete this file thinking it unnecessary but find the error of their ways when sfc /scannow is used. -- Jupiter Jones [MVP] http://www3.telus.net/dandemar In memory of our dear friend, MVP Alex Nichol http://www.dts-l.org "Joe" wrote in message ...
