Default Conversion between various video & audio formats

Could anyone advise me a good software to do conversion between any video &
audio formats?

I have used "Total viedo convertor" to convert a .wma file into various
viedo formats (.mpg, .flv, .avi), but none of them can be posted to Facebook
or Youtube (the latter 3 viedo formats should be acceptable to Facebook &
Youtube). I guess the failure is due to the source file is an audio file &
convered into a viedo file, not a conversion from 1 viedo format to another
viedo format. Could anyone kindly advise?

Many thanks!

In the future - if you feel you *must* post in multiple newsgroups - please
look into "crossposting" as opposed to "multiposting". What you did
(posting the exact same message in multiple groups, one at a time) is
multiposting. Crossposting wouold give you similar results (posting in many
groups at once) but with better management for both you and those who might
read/answer said post.

Anyway - here is how I answered your identical post in
"microsoft.public.windowsxp.general"...

http://www.videohelp.com/
and
http://www.erightsoft.com/SUPER.html

Good luck!

(You may want to look into slowing down when you type the word "video", you
mostly get ahead of yourself, it seems. *grin*)

Answered in another newsgroup. Please do not send the same message
separately to more than one newsgroup (called multiposting). Doing so
just fragments the thread, so someone who answers in one newsgroup
doesn't get to see answers from others in another newsgroup. And for
those who read all the newsgroups the message is multiposted to, they
see the message multiple times instead of once (they would see it only
once if you correctly crossposted instead). This wastes everyone's
time, and gets you poorer help than you should get.

If you must send the same message to more than one newsgroup, please
do so by crossposting -- sending a single message simultaneously to
multiple newsgroups (but only to a *few* related newsgroups).

Please see "Multiposting vs Crossposting" at
