I was warned many years ago that the reader was a "risk" at best and was
told Foxit was safer. I have used it ever since. It seems to work great even
for someone like me who is NOT tech savvy. The free version I use will even
let you edit a PDF file, it just puts a note on them saying you used a Foxit
reader to do so.

So don't use Adobe reader until it's fixed. There are other alternatives to
Adobe reader. One thing to remember is NOT to use that ****TY Ubuntu or
Mint. Those products are a complete waste of time and will get you nowhere.

Yup. I've been disabling JavaScript in Reader for years now, probably a
decade .. at least ever since I noticed there was JavaScript in Reader.

They (the people at Adobe) really have no business setting the default to
ON. Most everyone already knows scripting a major security vector: the
debacle with scripting in email clients should have determined their
decision making here.
