Default Prob #3 MS Intellipoint 6.3 and W-7 64-bit

I have Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard Software called IntelliPoint 6.3 that
will not work with W-7 64-bit. Googling didn't bring up any patches or way
I can continue using this well loved keyboard on W-7 64-bit. I found 64-bit
for Vista but not 64-bit for W-7. Can anyone help with this problem since
the keyboard now works like a cheap $10 special and not the Keyboard it is.
None of the buttons work, only the keys work.

What's to say that the Vista driver won't work on Win 7? I have don
that, used something on the Windows O/S and implemented on another
version. Vista and Win 7 are just about the same O/S. So what do you
have to loose in using the Vista driver on Win 7?

Download the InteliPoint version 7 for both the mouse and the keyboard. The driver
for Win 7 comes with it

I tried that. It wouldn't work. In desperation I did more Googling and hit
on a beta version of the drivers for W-7 64-bit he

These work and I have my beloved keyboard working again. I have been unable
to find another keyboard like this in any of the stores. I think I'm going
online to see if I can find a few as backups and to use on the other PCs.

Thanks... I found this one after giving Goole on last shot. I didn't know
it was called version 7 or I would have found it faster.

Try he
Oh and Intellipoint 6.3 is driver version, not the name of an MS mouse.
Look on the bottom of your mouse and you'll see the model.

For drivers go here.
