Default Task Scheduler will not run

I have set up my XP task scheduler to run a couple of tasks (outlook express
being one). Each is "enabled" to run at specific times with the correct
accounts / passwords etc. but they do not even start. I even followed the
wizard example to run "diskcleanup" and this didn't run although the next
run time gets updated. If I pause and then rerstart the scheduler it shows
up in the log. Is there something else I need to do to set up tasks.

What does the Task Scheduler's logfile say?
