unmountable boot volume error
On XP Pro, after an unexpected power cut to the cpu, I get
an unmountable boot volume error. Restarting in every mode available onscreen at startup with F8 leads to the same error screen, with a slight difference in the error's number in the technical information: *** STOP: 0x0000000ED (0X80E1EC98, 0XC0000006, 0X00000000, 0X00000000) [[safe mode]]], [[[safe mode with networking]] *** stop: 0x000000ED (0x80E95A40, " " ") [[regular mode, last known settings that worked mode]] [[debugging mode]] ***STOP: 0x000000ED (0x80E0A988, " " ") How do I access DOS or whatever else needs to be done to start fixing the problem? Using the installation disc for XP has not helped, and I don't have any back-up or start- up discs. Sincere Thanks! |
