Cannot read/write files to CDRW under XP
I have a Plextor CDRW drive and CDRWIN with XP Home. I tried to erase
and format the disc using CDRWIN and it claims success. When I try to write anything to it or read it's stats, XP says it's unavailable of full. Any reason why I cannot drag and drop or backup to a cdrw? Thanks |

Cannot read/write files to CDRW under XP
"Warren Bryant" wrote in message ... Any reason why I cannot drag and drop It needs packet writing S/W like EasyCD. To use the stuff that comes with WinXP you have to drag and drop to a temporary folder/window it creates and then click "write files to CD". |

EasyCD is a CD player that doesn't seem to have anything to do with cd
burning or packet writing. Am I looking at the right app. you are referrign to:http://linas.info/easycd/ CWatters wrote: "Warren Bryant" wrote in message ... No I mean EasyCD from Roxio here...
http://www.roxio.com Latest version here.. http://www.roxio.com/en/products/ecdc/index.jhtml I have version 5 and version 6 has turned into a bit of a "do it all" program. The "Project Selector" that comes with version 5 allows you to choose what type of CD you are going to create: eg A CD format that supports drag and drop A CD format that is like a normal data CD used to distribute S/W. etc Both formats have advantages and disadvantages.
