Explorer crashes in 1 profile but not the others
Hi,
the subject line really says what my problem is - Explorer works in the other 4 profiles I have on my machine - however in 1 of the profiles it crashes when you try to access a web page. I tend to get 1 web page before getting the " Microsoft Explorer has encountered a problem" fault message. Any ideas on how to fix this? thanks for any help. Fraser |

Your time is still off, unless you are in a time zone where it's 10 PM at
the time you sent the message. Double click on the clock, usually bottom right of the screen, set the time and date and choose "apply" then ok out. "FSW" wrote in message ... Explorer crashes in 1 profile but not the others
Hey - thanks for your help - the problem has gone after running the various
adaware etc. clean up programs. One final question - I notice in the task window of all profiles a task called pup.exe - - anyone know what his is and how I can remove it if it is not "normal" ??? Thanks again. Fraser "FSW" wrote in message ... Well your not quite clean yet. Most of the references to pup.exe I find
point to a virus. Do a virus scan with updated virus definitions and always run and av program such as the free version of AVG(www.grisoft.com). "FSW" wrote in message ...
