Formatting floppies
A similar question...
Is the 5 1/4 still supported by XP??? I can read and write to it, but when I try to format it, I do not have a size option... (I had some old disks I was checking.....) -- (All advice is checked, re-checked and verified to be questionable....) "JerryM" wrote in message ... Just a question, In Windows 98se and previous versions, when formatting floppies, you could format without user intervention. Example: format a: /autotest Do they have anything like it in XP? Jerry |

Formatting floppies
See MicroSoft Knowledge Base:
Floppy Disk Formats That Are Supported in Windows XP http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;309623 And you will see the only floppy size that can be formatted in XP is the 1.44 MB 3.5" one. -- Eric P. van Westendorp Tel: +31(0252)210579 Reigerslaan 22 2215NN Voorhout Netherlands Lizerd wrote: A similar question...
