Default Scaning document

Greetings, when I try to scan a document my Lexmark X125 printer shows it's
scanning to User Folder : 1 and my computor screen shows it's recieving the
scan 20%--40% etc. I cannot find User Folder: 1. Not in my documents, not in
my pictures. Even a search comes up with nothing. Can anyone help? Thanks
very much.

I'd check the documentation on your printer. It should explain where
and how to configure the scanner and where those files go.
Also you might look in your "programs" menu, there should/might be a
group for the Lexmark printer there too, and you might find something
that would lead you to "setup".

Did you also look at C:\users ?

Here are the docs if you can't find them.
Setup:
http://www.lexmark.com/publications/...g/ensetups.pdf
Quick Ref.
http://www.lexmark.com/publications/...g/enhcbook.pdf
User guide
http://www.lexmark.com/publications/...ng/enogwin.pdf

See page 21 of the quick reference.

Does it ask you to name the file when the scanning is complete? If so, do a
search for the file name.
What file type is the scanning creating? Anything in the scanning software
does it give a hint where the completed scan may be residing?

Did you look under My Documents. A lot of applications will create
folders under there as a default place to store their files.

When I insert document it says scanning to: user folder:1. On the display it
shows recieving scan 10%, 30%, etc. I've looked in my Owner folder. I can't
find a User folder. I would think they would be the same thing, but still no
scanned document. Thanks for all your suggestions. I'll keep looking. James
