Default Where are streaming videos stored?

Why is it that I have to do a delete of of temporary internet files
periodically when I access streaming videos but I can't find them in the
temporary internet folder? Where are streaming video files stored?

I'm using Windows XP Home. I have IE, Opera, and Firefox.

Which of those browsers are you asking for?

IE - they are stored in your TIF location.

If they are *streaming* multimedia content then they are not stored in
their entirety on your host. Flash, for example, could save a .flv file
to store the entire video or it may only store a .swf script file that
is used to pull the bytes from the file server to play them using the
Flash AX control. The .swf file is small and contains only the info
needed to point at the source for the streamed data. So when you purge
the TIF, you delete the .flv (cached) videos and the .swf (pointer)
files.
