Clock stops when off

Default Clock stops when off

I have an ultra mobile unit. When its off the time stops on the machine.
So currently its 3:00 PM MST 5/26/09.... if i turn it off right now and turn
it back on in 5 weeks at midnight... the clock on the ultra mobile will still
read: 3:00 PM MST 5/26/09

Its Windows XP SP3.

Any ideas?

Default Clock stops when off

Computers have a lithium ion battery (looks like a quarter) for the purpose
of keeping the clock on time and miscellaneous other settings.
Replacing the battery will probably cure the problem.

Read the manual to find out how to replace the CMOS battery and what
model ID of battery to use for replacement.
