Default Was: second hard drive not showing in Windows 8

Update,

The hard drive enclosure came in about an hour and a half ago and I
installed the hard drive in it that I was using as a backup under
Windows XP and got it all set up plugged it in and the first thing
that happened was Casper (clone program) recognized it and wanted to
set up a program schedule.

I opened "file Explorer" and lo and behold there was C Dr. AND D Dr.
Click on the drive and all of the backed up files were intact. And I
was able to check to see if Windows 8 included them in the
installation and it did so now I'll go ahead and reformat D Dr. and
set up the cloning process and so I should be back in business. It
shows up in File Management so I'll be able to format it there. As it
has been pointed out to me in the previous thread the ideal thing was
to have the backup disk separate from the computer which this also
does.

I want to thank everybody for their help :-)

Albert
