I can see that we have not evolved past the good old days. I am appalled
that this thread, (place racial epithet here) got shot!!! has been allowed
to continue. In my wildest imagination, I would never expected to see this
group sink so low.

I don't want to hear any crap about free speech or any other drivel. This is
mean, uncalled for, disrespectful, and a mark of shame on the group that
there are 89 posts . I read a few hoping against hope that someone would
state the obvious, but I stopped reading because I could see that wasn't
gonna happen.

What's the matter with you people? This young man is dead. That's dead as in
dead. He's dead and his parents get to bury him and you can't see that.

You apparently are reading *very* selectively.

One reason this thread has reached 97 posts (as I write this) is that
many people *do* see what has happened to the young man and are arguing
against those who rationalize that it was justified.

Perhaps you should think twice about assigning shame to *all others*.

justification for continuing a thread that starts out by using a word that
should never be spoken let alone repeated in print 97 times. Just reading
the header makes me sick to my stomach.

So I think you miss my point. My fault, I'm sure. Discussion about what
happened, how, and why and discussion about right or wrong is important. But
some one needed to speak out about the inappropriate subject of this thread
and I chose me since no one else has.

How about changing it to "Vigilante justice, yea or nay."

Who can stop it? This group is not moderated, there is no one who checks
the posts before they appear on this group.

However, you can act as your own moderator and prevent posts from
showing up in your headers list. I suggest you learn how to use filters
to block messages you don't want to see. You can filter by subject or
poster's name, etc.

to change newsreaders just to discard trash. I don't think the original
Message ID carries into replies, anyway. In fact, I don't know of any
