The reason I want to is because any hacker who may reach
my computer can sign on using my guest account, unless of course, it is password protected. I have the guest account turned off, but nevertheless, I feel better if it was password protected. XP, by default, assigns the name of the owner account, as "owner", and all the hackers on the planet know that. The guest account (if you have changed the name of your owner account like I have) would be their next choice I'm sure. I just dont want to help them out by allowing free access. If it is password protected, their job is much more difficult. If it is not, then I have given them permission to hack my computer, is the way I feel about it. -----Original Message----- dave wrote: How can I assign a password to my guest account? As long as it is turned off, then it can ONLY be turned on by an account with admin rights anyway. |
