Default Windows Messenger logon automatically!

Hi!

I have Windows Messenger (4.7.2009) under WinXP Pro SP1a (with all current
hotfixes). and I being a little annoyed by WM logon automatically. I have
disabled "Automatically Logon onto Windows Messenger" on Outlook Express.
Also, in WM I have unselected "Run this program when Windows starts" and
"Allow this program to run in the background".

The problem is that I can't pinpoint when WM logs on! For example, the
computer starts ok and run a couple of programs (WM is still logged off)...
after an hour I realize that WM is running and logged on (and sometimes is
running in the background without even showing in the taskbar). However, I
think the problem occurs more frequently each time I switch network
connections, establish a VPN connection or dial-up another account.

This problem may be pretty common... but I googled it and I didn't find the
exact issue. I don't want to delete the Passport password from my XP
account, if I can fix this.

Please help!
