I reinstalled WIN XP HOME EDITION. I can access the
internet via Compuserve dial-up (56 K modem), but my
Microsoft Internet Explorer won't work. I get a "THIS PAGE
CANNOT BE DISPLAYED" message. Same thing happens when I
try to go to ANY internet chat room (Yahoo, Paltalk, etc)
or to WEBSHOTS, LIVE365, etc. MY QUESTION: How do I get my
Microsoft Internet Explorer to work? Thank you for your
assistance.

Hi Gary,

Suggestions and checkpoints:

Go to Windows\System32\DRIVERS\etc and rename hosts. Also go to:

Start/Run/Regedit and navigate to this key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\Tcpip\Parameters

And change it to:
