Hi Craig,

How much RAM do you have?

A friend of mine has a laptop with only 64 MB and it had problems like
you're describing, but there's many other possibilities too. On his we
downloaded and installed StartupCop and stopped a lot of things that
were loading on boot and fixed his problems.
