sign in with status "away" or "appear offline" ?

Hi,,

i´ve a little problem using Messenger. I won´t messenger gettin started with
userstatus "Online" because even if i start my computer i receive a lot of
instant messages from friends, and sometimes i have to work a bit ;-) I
can´t answer sometimes and some of my friends feel affronted. Has someone an
idea how i can login with status "appear offline" (i won´t use trillian or
anything else).

Unfortunately no, Messenger itself doesn't have this capability. You can however find
third-party patches and tools which will allow you to login as offline, you can find these on
http://www.mess.be, look in their download section (more specifically the 'MSN Messenger
Addons, Bots, Tools & Tweaks ' section) for 'JnrzLoader', 'Nega Patch' and others. Keep in
mind that these are unsupported and may cause some odd behavior (also most are for MSN
Messenger releases, not Windows Messenger).
