Default Windows update problem...

The last few days I have been getting the following message when I try to
install
automatic updates"The following software has not passed the windows logo for
compatibility
with windows xp"

Any ideas whats the problem?

try this: stop the "cryptographic services" service by opening a command
prompt and typing "net stop cryptsvc" (with the spaces, but without the
quotes) and hit enter. once the service has been stopped, then type: "ren
%systemroot%\system32\catroot2 oldcatroot2" (again, with the space, but
without the quotes). once done, type: "net start cryptsvc". then try the
windows update again.
