Default Offline Folders - "incorrect function"

Thanks Matt - I tried this and it work - be interesting to see how long it
works for.

I guess it's another "feature" of XP! :-(

Steve

I haven't gotten a reply but I've sort of corrected the
problem. I go to Folder Options, disable offline files
and shut down my computer. I then restart it, re-enable
offline files and manually sync the files. It will once
again sync everything with no errors. This will last for
a couple of days and then I have to do it again.

Try this and let me know if it works for you.

Hi All,

PIII-700MHz running WinXP Pro with 384 Mb RAM and 80Gb

of
disk space.

I've got offline folders enabled with allowable space of
1.62Gb. When I try to synchronise from my laptop (also
running WinXP Pro)I get the message

"unable to make filename available offline on

computer
name Incorrect Function"

This message appears for EVERY file that I have offline.

I've searched the knowledge base, and the closest I can
find is a reference to having the temp offline file size
set to 0.

However, when synchronising to my laptop from the
desktop - everything works fine.

Anyone got any suggestions as to what I might try to
resolve this?

Thanks in advance
Steve
