Can anyone show me how I can change setting of my computer
so that I can read, and write Japanese character on XP? Do
I need any additional software?

I am having trouble reading Japanese characters on
Internet as well. Is there any settings I can change for
this as well?

Hi,

Have you installed support for the proper dialect that you are using?
Control Panel/Regional and Language options/Languages tab, click details.
Install the preferred language variation here. Keep in mind that this only
allows you to use/read this language, it does not change the basic Operating
System installation language. To do that requires a clean installation of
WindowsXP in the preferred language version.
