Please bare with me I am still new at this. My question is when Windows XP
is loading the splash screen apears with the colored bar and I have noticed
sometimes it is different colors. On one system it may be red and on another
blue and I wanted to know if that color means anything?

Where have you seen it red - it is never red. It can be either green (Home)
or blue (Pro). As MS haven't released a third flavour in red packaging it
can never be red.
