Default OE catch up/mark all read crash.

All catch up does is mark as read. Just select all, then mark as read

I use OE to access a pay news server with HIGH retention. Some of the text
newsgroups have upwards of 50k messages. So, naturally, I like to download
all of them, sometimes not all but usually around 10k or so. Well, there's
no problem until I attempt to "catch up" or "mark all as read". Now it
doesn't ALWAYS crash, but I'd say about every third or fourth time. The
processor will slam up to 100% and it will work for a few seconds, then I
will get a blue screen stack dump error and be forced to reboot. It doesn't
matter if there are only 3 unread messages. If it's in a newsgroup with
like 10k or more headers, there's a good chance my computer's going to
crash. Is there any fix for this, or am I just going to have to break down
and buy Agent?
