Default Registry question

I went into the registry to remove keys from a program I
had uninstalled, and I found that there is a capital W
with a horizontal line through the middle of it all
through the "values" and "data" sections. regedit 32 has
this also.
What the heck is this? Should I leave it alone? I have
never seen this in the registry before, plus I'm finding
names of programs I never saw before!
