HELP
Hi Danielle,
Run Windows Explorer, go to Tools menu, choose Folder Options, click on the File Types tab, click the New button. At that point you will get a dialog asking you for the extension of the file type. Enter the extension then click okay. You will be returned to the file types list. Click on the change button. You will get a new dialog asking you to choose a program. If the program you need to open the file is on the list click on that program, then click the OK button . . if not click the browse button and go to the directory of the program that needs to be run to open the file. Click on the program then click the open button. You will return to the chose program dialog. Click the OK button. If you don't know what program opens the file, post the extension here, and hopefully one of us will be able to tell you what program to use. Ciao . . . HELP
"danielle" wrote in message ... Okay everytime I try to open certain icons on my computer I get an error message that reads Create an associatiojn in folder options control panel......WHAT?? Someone please tell me how to do this THANK YOU The EASIEST way to fix that is to go with the OPEN WITH and direct it to the program that opens that file. Eg, if it is a Word file, then direct it to open with Winword.exe and you will be OK. Remember to tick to ALWAYS open with that program and in future no problems. -- Friar Tuck was always the butt of Spoonerism Jokes from the Merry Men! |
