Default what the difference

what is the difference between these two Microsoft.net framework 2.0 service
pack and microsoft.net framework 3.0 service pack 2....do I need both of
these or is one updating the other

Do I need still need older versions of the .NET Framework on my system after
installing .NET Framework 3.5 SP1?
